Dear Valued Customers,
We want to provide continued updates regarding COVID and our operation. As the state is making motions toward re-opening in phases, our company continues to update our practices and services accordingly. In response to the current stipulations and updates to the rental moratorium and real estate brokerage practices, we are updating our course of action and procedures during this time. You are likely following the news surrounding the impact of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the measures local health officials, government, businesses and individuals are taking to safeguard the health of our local community. We want to share some of the steps that Pettit Property Management is currently taking to care for our employees, clients and our community in response to the outbreak. The safety of our employees and our clients is our highest priority. We are committed to ensuring you have continued service as well as safety measures taken. Our plan allows us to maintain many of our daily operations while minimizing risk to our employees and clients.
Many of Our Services are Available in the Same or a Modified Format
The measures we have put in place allow us to continue to operate as usual. Many of our office staff are still working remotely at this time to still fulfill all customer service inquiries. However, we do have some staff members working on-sight, but we are still not open to the public without prior appointment to keep traffic to a minimum. If an appointment can be facilitated via an online forum, we still request our customers to allow us to set up this form of communication to encourage safe social distance practices. We offer all forms of on-line payments and are still checking the mail daily. We can still receive and process rents at this time. If it is necessary to pay on-sight, please call to make an appointment. For employees handling essential tasks/jobs such as taking in money/emergency maintenance tasks, etc. our employees are wearing gloves, masks, and/ or wiping down surfaces and taking other precautions to protect you and other team members at this time.
Our staff worked diligently to facilitate leasing homes in a safe manner by acquiring video walk-through’s of our available listings to accommodate showings while allowing viewing without exposure, wearing mask & gloves while accessing homes, equipping ourselves by reviewing current recommended sanitary practices to prevent exposure & spreading, and taking every precautionary measure possible. With real estate brokerage practices, showings must be limited to 3 people in the home at a time. We also require all prospects to answer the list of safety healthcare questions in advance. At this time, we will still NOT be conducting in home inspections/services for anything other than emergency or requested work orders and move out inspections to avoid any unnecessary contact/exposure.
Our maintenance personnel will wear masks & gloves while working in and outside homes as a precautionary measure (unless wearing a mask poses a health risk to a staff member), but we will be limiting in home work to emergency, exterior, or requested work orders only. At this time, we will still work to turnover vacant homes as we know housing is essential. We are doing everything we can to stay in compliance with the law, ensure we are doing are part to keep everyone safe, while ensuring customers that are scheduled to arrive will have a home ready to move into that is still in line with our company product and standards.
Please review the alternative options below regarding our services to assist you at this time while our office is operating under appropriate limitations. Please contact us if there is no alternative to a cash payment. We are happy to accommodate. We are aware that financials are essential.
